Description

JOB SCOPE:

?Create and maintain detailed operational processes for parts, sub-assemblies, and engine build ensuring that mistake proofing techniques are incorporated into these processes.

?Utilization of CAD systems for the design, detail, and checking of simple to intermediate level jigs, fixtures, gauges, tools, and simple machines.

?Creation and maintenance of simple to intermediate level CNC programs for multiple axis machine tools including writing, editing, troubleshooting, and correcting tooling/programming problems.

?Tool designer owns process and program until proven out.

?Interface with numerous departments, including but not limited to, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Support, Materials, Procurement and Sales. Works across payrolls, functions and shifts to solve problems in a timely manner.

?Provide operational processes, designs, and programs in such a manner that complies with Lycoming processes and procedures to meet customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

?Perform assigned work in a safety conscious manner.

?Perform assigned work to specific quality and production standards.

?Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a clean professional condition.

?Prepare or maintain all documentation necessary for the job classification.

?Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.

?Must be capable and willing to adopt new technologies and travel up to 10% of the time for training and troubleshooting purposes.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

?Associate degree or two-year certificate program in Tool Technology, Automated Manufacturing, CAM/CNC Programming or equivalent. Previous education or job experience may allow waiver of educational requirements.

?One-year experience preferred.

?Demonstrated proficiency with computers and various types of software including Microsoft office Word and Excel.

?Ability to read and interpret simple to intermediate level blue prints.

?Ability to articulate in both written and spoken communication.
