    VP, Quality Assurance

    Overview:

    We are looking for a Vice President, Quality Assurance to lead global teams on Software Quality automation and agility initiatives. This individual will be responsible for managing & mentoring a team of Engineers around the world who test HealthEdge's applications and manage and develop build systems. We have modernized and consolidated much of our toolset in the development space but need to continue focusing on Quality and delighting our customer through automation. The VP, Quality Assurance is expected to be the key driver to continue moving the teams to the next level.

    The Product:

    With HealthRules Payer, our integrated solutions suite includes the industry's leading, digital, next-generation claims administration processing system, business intelligence, integration capabilities, a unique to industry configuration and promotion application, and home and host processing support available on both public and private clouds.     What you will do:

    • Develop and execute a strategic QA roadmap aligned with the division's objectives, incorporating best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

    • Lead and mentor a Global team of QA professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. This team will test the applications, API's and databases and will include Release Engineering and Security Vulnerability testing.

    • Drive a customer focused effort to reduce quality incidents proactively and lead a strategy for reduction and root cause analysis.

    • Establish and maintain QA standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness across projects and teams.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, development, implementation, and customer support to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

    • Define and implement metrics and KPIs to measure and track QA performance, efficiency, and effectiveness, and utilize data-driven insights to drive improvements.

    • Oversee the design and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.

    • Drive automation initiatives to increase test coverage, reduce manual effort, and improve overall efficiency and reliability of QA processes.

    • Partner with regulatory compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and CMS guidelines.

    • Conduct regular risk assessments and mitigation strategies to identify and address potential quality issues proactively.

    • Act as a key liaison with clients, providing insights and guidance on QA-related matters, addressing concerns, and ensuring alignment with client expectations.

    • Be a change agent and drive a DevOps mindset of CI, CD and full automation within the product development teams.

    • Drive the root cause analysis process across the organization.

    • Provide quality data collection, analysis and interpretation.

    • Participate in and improve Agile software development ceremonies.

    • Drive process improvements and engage in regular process audits.

    What you bring:

    • 10+ years of experience in software QA leadership in roles of increasing responsibility.

    • Proven experience leading, mentoring, reshaping, and growing software QA and Security Vulnerability testing teams.

    • 10+ years' experience testing client-server applications, web applications, API's and databases.

    • Solid experience with testing software in Unix/Linux environments.

    • A BS is required, an MS is preferred.

    • Very strong communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.

    • Proven experience to be highly responsible, self-disciplined, motivational, creative, confident and a quick learner.

    • Ability to build strong working relationships with others at all levels in the organization.

    Bonus points:

    • Experience with multiple testing techniques for data, API & web application testing in the Cloud.

    • Familiarity with software security weakness, vulnerability and secure code review.

    • Familiarity with industry application platforms, PaaS, Docker, etc.

    • Extensive experience working on multiple projects at a time in a fast paced, results oriented environment.

    • Experience in the healthcare tech space.
