    We believe happy employees do amazing work, so join our team NOW! We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Windows Desktop System Administrator focused on Endpoint Software Testing and Evaluation for an Onsite Full-Time position.

    Job Description:

    The resources under this effort will take an active role in the transformation of the client's endpoint computing environment including Windows 10 (or higher), Office 365, and other areas as needed for workplace modernization. They must distribute software updates and remove outdated software on endpoints. Expanded services will be provided to other organizations as required (ex: IP migration for printers, User migrations to new hardware, asset inventory database modification, support, and maintenance)

    Responsibilities:

    • Test Pilot Software for proper deployment and functionality

    • Locate users who can be assigned software to perform pilot testing

    • Follow up and assist users during pilot testing

    • Provide feedback to package owners and complete pilot testing documentation

    • Secondary tasks related to pilot work:

    • Reboot lab workstations weekly to make sure they receive patches

    • Check machines for any pilot patches (Our phase groups are based on IP ranges or locations and we have a very large pilot sampling)

    • Monitor tickets in the support queue to address pilot-related tickets

    • Move workstations in and out of the pilot phase as workstations are replaced

    • Non-pilot Advanced Computing Environment (ACE) support

    • Wiping computers prior to disposal

    • Reimaging computers

    • Work with HP, Dell, or other hardware ACE vendors, to have workstations repaired

    • Work support tickets using ServiceNow

    • Print security badges

    • Assist with other projects as required (ex: Printer setup and configuration, workstation refresh, troubleshooting upgrade failures)

    • Provide support for the National Pilot Testing process, including tracking the status of all pilots within the USPS District, performing verification and validation of pilot tests, coordinating pilot testing with various users, systems, and locations, and providing feedback on pilot test findings.

    • Document the established procedures used to perform repetitive, but complex tasks.

    • Establish and maintain comprehensive records of work performed.

    • Install PC-based hardware, software, and peripherals, as well as integrate products into desk-top systems.

    • Produce reports for a wide variety of purposes.

    • Operate personal computer terminals and LAN attached to workstations to perform job functions and general clerical/administrative work.

    • Provide technical assistance to the computer operations staff and user community, as needed.

    Educational Requirements:

    A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred.

    NOTE: If there is not any relevant college degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required
