    We are seeking a Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Leader to join our West Geography and build on the success of our ZEV work to support and accelerate positive change. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable of the changing transportation system, the emergence of new ZEV mobility technologies and regulations, and the planning, program, and implementation efforts needed for successful outcomes and can focus on accelerating business growth in California and the Western US. The successful candidate will have a mix of skills and leadership in fleet transitions (public and/or private), urban charging, enabling infrastructure, and electric vehicles.

    The successful individual will join an integrated service team of multi-disciplinary ZEV practitioners that work together to advance the service offering . The team includes transportation planners, energy consultants, electrical engineers, logistics experts, program managers, cost estimators, financial advisors, and digital innovators

    Additionally, you will also support national business needs as they arise but early focused efforts would be concentrated in order to accelerate client relationships, project wins, and build momentum. We would expect the successful candidate to bring new relationships as well, resulting in novel opportunities.

    Responsibilities:

    Work in an integrated team environment to

    • Win projects that include ZEV technology integration, charging (electric and hydrogen) infrastructure planning and implementation, and strategic policy and programmatic engagement

    • Build client and partner relationships that advance Arup's position at the forefront of the ZEV transition and decarbonization of mobility more broadly.

    • Deliver quality project outcomes as either a lead or supportive member of the team by contributing technical rigor to best practice systems thinking on a breadth of projects, from large to small, in support of the Arup Strategy and Global Step Change.

    • Build the current team to reach new heights in impact and growth

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Policy, Planning, Business Organization, or the Sciences

    • Professional certifications relevant to the role, such as Professional Engineering, management, or planning licensure.

    • 10+ years working knowledge of the transportation system and 5+ years working knowledge of ZEV transitions.

    • Knowledge and experience with ZEV transition e.g. operating service transitions, fleet decarbonization, new energy infrastructure.

    • Experience with managing teams and business development activities and relationship management

    Hiring Range : The good faith base salary hiring range for this job performed in California is $165,000 and $215,000. Benefits are not included in the base salary range. Summary of benefits are included in this posting with details provided to applicants at the time of interview. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of California will differ.
