Turn you bad habits into a donation to a good cause.

Do you have problems censoring your language on social networking sites? If so, then you should take a look at the new Charity Swear Box, and maybe even get your office in on the act.

It's never a good idea to use bad language on sites like Twitter. Especially when you are looking for a job or trying to keep the one you have, it just doesn't look professional. Even still, many people still let the curses fly from time to time. However, a new organization is proposing the idea that famine is the most vulgar and offensive of the "F" words, and wants everyone to join with them to help fight hunger.

The online Charity Swear Box is just like an office swear jar. All you do is send them your Twitter user name and they will go through your tweets looking for offensive words. Then, it calculates the number of times that you have used bad language on Twitter and decides the amount you owe. Once you pay up, you can select from numerous organizations to donate your money to. The site works with well known charitable organizations like UNICEF, World Wildlife Fund and PETA.

Take a look at the video that explains it:

You can even get your whole office in on the project and find new excuses to let it fly on Twitter.

What do you think about this Swear Jar? Do you think you would use it? Let me know in the comments.
