In this role, you will be the end-to-end owner of our specialty segments, including our professionals and new to credit segments. You will use historical in-market tests, industry knowledge, and business judgement to discover growth opportunities within our specialty / professionals segments. This role will work closely with new customer originations marketing and credit risk teams to assess product economics, propose more optimal offers, develop business cases, and execute and track our in-market strategies. You will also be an advocate for these segments in taking a customer-focused approach, ensuring our communications and servicing experience is tailored for their unique expectations.
The Work Itself
Build and drive an agenda to prioritize strategic, high value opportunities across our specialty segments
Manage the segment P&Ls and growth opportunities
Identify and develop external partnerships to establish affinity relationships and monitor existing ones
Identify gaps in our understanding and recommend tests to close them
Synthesize insights across functions and sources of information to build informed understanding of segment and product economics
Develop a tailored data agenda across list-based, bureau-based, and alternative data sources to unlock additional growth
Identify differentiation strategies (product, communications, etc) unique to these segments and bring them to market, including through consumer research and partnership with customer communications teams
Monitor and maintain understanding of new performance insights from historical testing
Propose more optimal approaches for how we allocate offers or define our populations of interest
The Skills You Bring
5-7+ years' work experience in relevant areas
SQL and other scripting experience preferred
Strong sense of ownership and ability to independently drive results
Comfort developing and advancing an agenda in a matrixed organization
Partnership/Business Development mindset to identify and pursue win-win opportunities
Rigorous analytics experience
Attention to detail and desire to "roll up your sleeves"
Ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple initiatives and efforts
Ability to respond quickly to a changing environment
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred
