The Process Technologies Office team with AECOM in Little Rock, Ark. is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Industrial Systems to function as part of a multi-discipline project team to deliver design packages and technical work on assigned projects. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in electrical engineering. Accountable for the completion of assignments to the high standards of AECOM and the Client, within budget and schedule. Typical projects can range in value from $100,000 to $100,000,000 and encompass all phases, including engineering, procurement and construction. Primary Responsibilities + Under minimal direction, completes engineering assignments of moderate complexity. + Comprehensive understanding of Electrical discipline and basic understanding of other disciplines. + Designs, directs, approves and seals electrical drawings such as: + One-line diagrams, + Cable Tray Plans and details + Ductbank and underground conduit plans and details. + Above Ground conduit plans and details + Grounding and lighting plans + Grounding and lighting details + Electrical installation details + Motor elementaries or schematics + General wiring diagrams as well as electrical lists such as equipment lists, load lists and cable sched ules. + Prepares specifications, data sheets, quotation requests, and technical bid summaries for electrical equipment. + Performs electrical equipment and cable sizing calculations. + Performs power system studies and analysis such as load flow, short circuit, breaker and relay coordination and arc flash and produces associated written reports utilizing the ETAP software. + Designs and specifies components for electrical distribution and utilization systems. + Reviews vendor drawings and provides comments as necessary. + Responsible for engineering and design activities including working directly with other engineers and design drafters to produce engineering documents and designs for various industry related facilities. + Assists in the coordination between engineering disciplines, participating in project planning activities, and supports cost and schedule updates. + Ensures quality, quantity and completeness of the assigned engineering tasks. + Keeps proper engineering files and records. + Continually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities and pursues additional coursework and training. + Complies with company's safety awareness program, office and/or field safety policies. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: + BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Driving is required for this position. Ability to pass pre-employment Motor Vehicle Registration Screening (MVR). Preferred Qualifications : + Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering + P.E. License or EIT with ability to obtain a P.E. license within one (1) year of employment. + Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience of industrial systems + Knowledge of ETAP modeling software + Knowledge of NFPA, IEEE, PIP, and other applicable industry standards. + Knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical software + Field experience providing construction administration services. + Engineering experience in Power Generation, Water/Wastewater, Food and Beverage and Oil and Gas Industries Additional Information + This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. + Relocation assistance is not provided for this role. + The selected candidate will be subjected to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Registration Screening (MVR). + All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
