The purpose of this position is to self-perform Energy Audits at Clients' facilities with the focus of reducing its carbon output to achieve client goals which may include Science Based Targets and Net Zero operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for supporting capital asset planning and energy and sustainability outcomes ranging from one-time assessments to large scale program delivery.
Coordinate with on-account Energy Manager and Sustainability Transformation Program Manager to identify prioritization of need and implementation. Coordinate with on-account FM and operations team for support in assessment.
Conduct, understand, analyze, design, and prepare decarbonization audits based on life cycle analysis and/or ASHRAE and other standards for on-site assessment or virtual assessment of client assets. Evaluate and provide quality control over Audit Reports from 3rd Party Vendors and consultants to ensure they are accurate and suitable.
Decarbonization audit deliverables to include: Owners' / Basis of Design Requirements, Building Survey & Data Collection, Benchmarking, Electrical Infrastructure Analysis, System Capacity Optimization, Heat Map Analysis, Energy / Carbon Model and Reduction Methods, Decarbonization Analysis, Technologies / Procurement Review, Financial Evaluation, Prioritization, Timetable, Capital Planning, and Final Report.
Evaluate energy supply and procurement data, including utility analysis.
Develop and implement solutions to replace fossil fuels consumption with electrical based equipment.
Prepare and present business cases and results of assessments, including priorities and impact(s) for turn-key projects, to CBRE leadership and to the client at all levels of management.
Coordinate involvement of personnel from other CBRE departments to facilitate successful project(s) acceptance and implementation.
Monitor, evaluate and propose internal review of any beneficial client solutions not currently utilized by CBRE.
Performs other duties as assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Associates degree or a minimum five years' work experience in in HVAC controls and/or mechanical systems application and design. Bachelors degree preferred.
Accredited 4 or 5 year HVAC apprenticeship may be substituted for degree.
Minimum of three years progressive experience in HVAC and automation system control and mechanical and automatic control application, or a minimum of four years' experience in a related technical field plus two years of experience in the trades and/or mechanical contracting field, or application programming and development. Five or more years of progressive experience in HVAC, networking and computer applications preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Engineer-in-training (EIT) required. Professional Engineer (PE), BPI Multifamily Building Analyst (MFBA), AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM)or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) preferred.
NiagaraAX certification preferred. A valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions. (Corrective lenses permitted)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires knowledge of basic financial terms and concepts as they relate to contracts, proposals, and providing consultation to the customer. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
Familiar with basic contract verbiage, negotiation and management.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Possess a thorough knowledge of the use and operation of Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office.
Able to read and understand HVAC/R and process mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc.. Able to do basic troubleshooting. Trained and well versed with HVAC applications and possess HVAC and systems knowledge.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Must be willing to travel, including some overnight trips.
Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
