CTG is searching for a full time remoteIT Project Manager specializing inOrganizational Change Management (OCM)to join our team to support an OIT reorganization with in a government entity. This PM will work with key stakeholders to document the design principles and metrics needed to drive the new organizational structure within the technology roadmap.
Primary Functions:To support the standardization of all roles within OIT, the OCM PM will work with OIT to align like roles, and responsibilities across disparate departments. This will provide the basis for an IT skills inventory, enabling IT capacity management and improve the Clientâ€™s ability by bringing OCM expertise to develop a sourcing strategy for filling staffing needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
At the beginning of the project, the OCM PM will work with OIT to conduct a stakeholder analysis. The stakeholder analysis will yield;
The Project Governance structure â€“ Outlining executive sponsors who set vision & success criteria, with their accountabilities. This will align to a RACI model that can be used to identify and resolve issues, risks and complete project work.
Organization design principles â€“ Defining the objectives and guidelines for scope, change control and escalation.
OCM Communication Plan â€“ Defining stakeholder communications. The plan will detail the following;
With whom to communicate, what to communicate, frequency of communications, who is responsible for communicating and the method/channel chosen to communicate.
The communication strategy will include collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence, MS Teams, etc.). Collaboration tools will be leveraged to provide the following;
A site/page that details the program goals and objectives signed and/or authored by the executive sponsor
High Level timeline/schedule with Key Milestones to drive change
FAQs about the project/ReOrg o Q&A web form that CTG will monitor and work with stakeholder for responses o Project Status updates (daily and/or weekly)
Project Calendar (key meetings, communications & upcoming activities)
OCM PM will work with the key stakeholders to create an Organization Change Management (OCM) plan. The OCM plan will detail measurable activities/training for the organization to drive the change. OCM PM will follow the ADKAR approach to OCM.
OCM PM will document all meeting discussions and publish meeting minutes with action items. Key meetings will be recorded and published for non-attendees to review. Risks & issues will be identified and managed daily. Risks will be documented with dates that will trigger the start of the mitigation plan. OCM progress and compliance will be measured and managed throughout the project.
Education: Bachelorâ€™s degree in Project Management or related field with a concentration in project management.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Equivalent in training and related work experience to include a recognized certification such as PMP.
A minimum of six years progressive experience performing project support duties for information technology projects.
Experience in Organization Change Management (OCM)
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills.
Strong writing skills with the ability to author business and technical documents.
Strong collaborative skills with a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of information technology professionals, executives and financial institution managers.
Experience working in a state government is highly desirable.
