    Summary:

    • Directs and supervises the activities of the Area Operations Managers and Site Managers within a region. Develops plans, programs, budgets, and operating procedures for region and ensures implementation. Provides total support to the managers with regard to the objectives set within ATS to include employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and financial objectives. Provides the tools and resources for managers to achieve maximum performance and results.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for profit and loss objectives within the region.

    • Works with Area Managers to develop new business opportunities.

    • Works with other company departments to achieve company objectives.

    • Develops strategic business plans for regional growth and profit objectives.

    • Schedules regular meetings with key customers within region.

    • Assists Sales Department with new business opportunities, sales calls, etc.

    • Provides direction and training to managers.

    • Completes performance evaluation process for direct reports and is responsible for Area Managers completing theirs within ATS timeframe.

    • Attends team meetings on a regular basis providing direction and support.

    • Approves and submits expense reports, time cards, and other required paperwork.

    • Manages day-to-day activities within region to meet or exceed customers' expectations.

    • Prepares operational reports as required.

    • Has responsibility for employee and customer satisfaction within region.

    • Provides leadership, training, development, recognition, and career development.

    • Performs other duties as required.

    • Manages activities of the subordinate managers who may supervise multiple employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ATS' policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Qualifications:

    • Takes a leadership role in the Service/Quality Initiative; continually improves processes; quantitatively monitors processes. Completes required quality core classes and uses skills and techniques presented. Uses the Core Values in work environment. Adheres to company/customer safety procedures.

    • Must be a team player, organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize; must have a good driving record; must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.

    • Ability to: read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in management.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

    • The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
