    The Receiving Clerk performs all receiving functions in support of the manufacturing facility. One performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. The Receiving Clerk checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items

    Position Responsibilities

    • Matches incoming parts and quantities with line items on open purchase orders

    • Transfers parts requiring inspection to receiving inspector

    • Processes all receiving transactions and paperwork daily in real time

    • Checks all incoming freight for damage and follow through with purchasing to resolve any damaged freight issues

    • Verifies component part numbers correspond with those identified on the purchase orders

    • Processes daily receiving reports. Maintain open and closed purchase order files

    • Performs inventory functions as needed and as directed by Inventory Control Manager

    • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature under moderate supervision

    • Follows established procedures on routine work and may require instructions on new assignments

    • Other duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

    • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

    • Minimum 1 - 2 years' of relevant experience

    • Experienced with and knowledgeable of safe material handling practices and the safe handling of electro-static sensitive devices (ESD)

    • Demonstrated basic math skills and attention to detail are required

    • Experienced and proficient with in MS Office and basic computer skills

    • Comprehends purchase order and inventory control data in a computerized MRP system

    Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

    • Demonstrates familiarity with commercial electronics shipping practices and handling methods

    • Experience using Oracle is desired

    • Demonstrates familiarity with electronics manufacturing

    • Demonstrates competency in successfully tracking down and resolving shipping discrepancies

    • Works well with others to accomplish tasks in support of the production plan

    • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties

    • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives

    • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products

    • Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company

    • Focuses on teamwork and puts the success of the team above one's own interests

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment (Constant)

    • Ability to lift and carry objects of varying shapes and sizes up to 50 lbs. (Frequently)

    • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
